What A Difference A Month Makes!
There’s been lots of productive activity at The Life Center over the last 30 days. With the help of generous individuals and community partners, TLC has seen some major improvements, which we’re happy to share with you!
TLC’s Boutique…Clean & Organized
After having a structural makeover, our Boutique has been reorganized to make it much easier for our residents to find what they need. Volunteers worked to sort, group and label supplies – everything from diapers and toys to clothes and toiletries. The result has created an improved “shopping experience” for our residents to use their well-earned TLC dollars.
The Work of an Amazing Youth Group
The Vine Life Youth Group, made up of middle-schoolers, decided to use their summer camp time to give back to the community, and TLC was a grateful recipient of their work. Despite heat and humidity, they spent hours at TLC tackling projects such as organizing our attic, trimming trees, pulling weeds and cleaning our playground. Big thanks to the Vine Life Youth Group for their terrific efforts!
Fresh Paint and Great Food
The Elevation Church organized a work day at TLC to paint several rooms in our home, which really brightened things up inside. Plus, they treated our residents to a wonderful barbeque of burgers, hot dogs and all the fixings. They even set up a kiddy pool for our little residents to splash around in. We greatly appreciate the Elevation Church and all those who participated for giving us a day to remember!
Our Beehive Has New Carpeting
Thanks to Ahern Carpet of Hudson, our Beehive has much-needed new carpeting. The Beehive serves as our hub for meetings with residents, volunteers, community partners and board members. The new carpeting makes such a beautiful difference, and we greatly appreciate the generosity of the Ahern Carpet team!

TLC is currently at near capacity, which is both rewarding and demanding. We rely on our volunteers to help us with tasks and initiatives in our mission to provide a safe, nurturing home for young women and their children.
